Jim Keplinger is the author of Second for the Dead, the first novel in the Benjamin Radcliffe thriller series. He's been an Air Force weather forecaster, a television meteorologist, a magician, a comic book writer, and an entrepreneur. He writes thrillers, cozy mysteries, and whatever else won't leave him alone.

Jim Keplinger has spent his career refusing to pick one thing. He served as an Air Force weather forecaster, built a career in television meteorology, performed as a magician and mentalist for over forty years, wrote comic books for Image Comics, and launched businesses — all while living an untethered life across thirty states and five countries.
His debut novel, Second for the Dead, is the first in the Benjamin Radcliffe thriller series. Radcliffe is a behavioral game theorist who reads people for a living — until a mentor's impossible murder pulls him back into a game someone has been playing for forty years. Jim lives in New Orleans.
